The Milky Way glows over Liberty Bell Mountain and the Early Winters Spires in Washington State's incredible North Cascades. These massive (7800-foot) rocky pinnacles tower over Washington Pass and stun every person who drives through the North Cascade Mountains—yet somehow, like everything else on Earth, they look much smaller in the light of our galaxy, which of course is just a tiny portion of our immense universe.
